Publicist Dana Kaye spoke at our January meeting on productivity, and you can watch the video on our Facebook page.
Another reason to visit our Facebook page is our first Facebook Potluck of the year on Friday, February 23rd from 7-10pm CST. All are welcome.
Our in-person chapter meeting is February 11th from 12-2pm at Centuries & Sleuths in Forest Park, IL. Retired Police Chief Scott Neubauer talks about interrogation techniques. This one will not be filmed, and consider this your warning that the Chief’s background is in child abuse investigations, but he’s put away the worst of the bad guys. Erica Ruth Neubauer finds out how it’s done.
March gives us a full weekend of wall-to-wall mystery with Murder & Mayhem Chicago on Saturday the 17th, sponsored by MWA Midwest and featuring many of our members. On Sunday, March 18th, you get a double-dose of National President Jeffrey Deaver as he hosts a mini MWA-U(niversity)! FREE for MWA Midwest members, $20 for guests, and you do NOT want to miss this. Register here.
Keep flipping over to April 22nd. We’re going to leave the western suburbs and venture north. The Evanston Public Library cohosts our chapter meeting, which includes a panel on selling short stories moderated by Chapter Vice President J. Michael Major.
And to round out the first half of the year, we’re planning a joint outing with Sisters in Crime – Chicagoland on a joint field trip to The American Writers Museum in downtown Chicago. More details to come.
So many ways to get involved with our chapter! We hope to see you soon!
